Dr. Peggy Augustine, Orthodontics, Columbus

Dr. Peggy Augustine

Dr. Augustine is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. She joined the U.S. Army as a general dentist in 1979. In 1990, she completed certification in Orthodontics at the Fort Meade Orthodontic Residency Program.

As an Army Orthodontist, she served as Acting Chief of Orthodontics at Walter Reed Army Hospital's Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Program. She served a dual role as Assistant Instructor for the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program, as well as the Assistant Director of the Fort Meade Orthodontic Residency Program.

Dr. Augustine left military service as a Lt. Colonel and began her private practice in the state of Maryland in 1996. She and her family are pleased to be members of the Columbus community. Since relocating to Georgia, her mission has remained the same: “To Broaden the Access of Quality Orthodontic Care to More People”.

Dr. Augustine is a distinguished member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists and a Diplomate, of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Augustine is also an active member of many other organizations, among them are: The Chamber of Commerce, The Better Business Bureau, The Muscogee County School Council, The Consumer's Research Council of American, Board of Chattahoochee Valley Episcopal Ministries and the Board of Vestry at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Dr. Augustine and her two sons are devoted members of Trinity Episcopal Church. Besides Orthodontics and spending time with her family, she loves reading, music and traveling enjoying many multicultural experiences.

Dr. Augustine honored by United Way

We are happy to share the news that Dr. Peggy Augustine and her staff at West Georgia Orthodontics were honored recently by the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley for their service to the organization.

According to the Ledger-Enquirer, Dr. Augustine and her staff were honored by the United Way at the organization's recent lunch. United Way President Scott Ferguson presented Dr. Augustine with "a trophy, decorated with a plush turkey in honor of the season" for their work during the organization's 2007 campaign.

Congratulations to Dr. Augustine and her staff for a job well done!
