West Georgia Orthodontics Celebrates Two Milestones

PHONE TIMEA new career begins while another career ends. Gamal Baker and Hettie Lane, two exceptional WGO employees are embarking on two different, but equally exciting paths. Both employees have demonstrated excellence in the field of orthodontics, by using their advanced, complex technical skills in patient care. They have also set glowing examples of the meaning of dedication, commitment, compassion, and a willingness to be of service to others.

Gamal Baker, son of Dr. and Mrs. Lionel Baker, is headed to Meharry Dental School in the first leg of his ultimate goal of becoming an orthodontist. Gamal credits Dr. Augustine with fueling his desire to pursue a career within this specialized field. “She has been a great mentor to me”, says Gamal. “ Not only with the technical know -how, but also with the business end of running a large practice.”

Hettie Lane, lovingly known to the WGO family, as “Miss Hettie” will make her departure in an entirely different direction. Hettie will be retiring from forty years of service in the work force. She has definitely left an irreplaceable caring spirit with the patients and staff.

We celebrate with each one of them. We wish them much love, success, and Godspeed in their journey.
